What is the Compact RF Scene Generator™?
The Compact RF Scene Generator™ provides a user-specified RF scene with a target signal arriving at the DUT from a series of aspect angles. The DUT can mount on a flight motion simulator (FMS) to coordinate motion of the sensor with each scene. The entire system is designed to fit inside a relatively small test chamber, thus making it portable for use in both design and production applications.
Components of Compact RF Scene Generator™
Anechoic Chamber
The chamber’s shielding level can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements. Purpose‑built to house the compact RFSG system, it delivers a true anechoic environment that ensures repeatable, tightly controlled test conditions. Integrated fire suppression and HVAC interfaces support safe, reliable, and continuous operation.
Reflector
The reflector is a precision-machined, offset-fed aluminum reflector with rolled edges, designed to create a controlled quiet zone for compact range testing, offering high structural integrity and RF performance. Operational frequency range from 8.2 to 110 GH.
Feed Carousel Positioner
The feed carousel is a multi-position, remotely controlled feed changer designed for Ka/X band antennas, future expansion, and optical alignment, with integrated RF and control connectivity for user systems.
Motion Axes
The system provides precise azimuth and elevation control, automated feed switching across multiple bands, integration for polarization control, and an extra axis for optical alignment of the customer's device DUT.
